MODIFIED ONE- FINGER LAPAROSCOPY TECHNIQUE
نویسندگان
چکیده مقاله:
We used the modified one finger laparoscopy technique on 100 patients and found it to be successful in 87% of cases. No major complication occurred during or after such operations. However, we think that this technique is accompanied by three important problems: 1) The CO2 gas is lost f1"om the subumbilical incision, 2) A secondary fascial layer is present in some patients, and 3) There is a higher rate of laparoscopic wound complications. At the present time (in the second phase of the study), by cutting superficially the secondary fascial layer , our success rate has risen to 98%. We close the fascia and skin in separate layers and believe that a similar approach can be used for the peritoneum.

Cystoscopy-assisted laparoscopy for bladder endometriosis: modified light-to-light technique for bladder preservation
INTRODUCTION Endometriosis is a disease with causes still unclear, affecting approximately 15% of women of reproductive age, and in 1%-2% of whom it may involve the urinary tract. The bladder is the organ most frequently affected by endometriosis, observed around 85% of the cases. In such cases, the most effective treatment is partial cystectomy, especially via videolaparoscopy. Study Objective...

متن کاملAn alternative technique for open laparoscopy.
Laparoscopic cholecystectomy has become a routine surgical procedure. Complications related to use of the laparoscope frequently result from insertion of a Veress needle or blind introduction of the primary cannula on its trocar. This risk is clearly higher in patients who have undergone previous surgical operations. Open insertion with visualisation of abdominal cavity before the introduction ...
متن کاملA modified technique of using the dynamic external finger fixation system. Case study.
Fractures of the phalangeal joints of the hand present a challenging problem because of the small size of the fracture fragments, limiting internal fixation, and their articular nature necessitating early mobilisation to ensure good results. We present a case of a patient presenting with an open displaced intraarticular fracture of the metacarpophalangeal joint that was managed with limited int...
متن کاملEndoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy: modified technique.
BACKGROUND Dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR) is a surgical technique that has been increasingly used by otolaryngologists in recent years due to the improved endonasal approach with endoscopes. Although it was first described in 1893 by Caldwell, it has been performed by ophthalmologists. OBJECTIVES Even though permeability results are similar in long-term follow-up, we present some modifications t...
متن کاملFinger-Thumb Technique for Elephant Trunk Retrieval.
In this report we present a brief video illustrating the "Finger-Thumb Technique" that we have used extensively at our institution for elephant trunk retrieval during second stage elephant trunk procedures. Although only safe in experienced hands, this technique is a viable option in the arsenal of a cardiothoracic surgeon, especially in cases when proximally surrounding a massively enlarged ao...
